Acceptable Use Policy

Effective October 1, 2026. Last updated October 1, 2026. Version 2026-10-01.

Draft pending counsel review. This document hasn’t been reviewed by an attorney yet and may change before Emerald Relay launches live service.

1.Don't send data you aren't allowed to share

Carriers may send data only for agencies they have appointed. Agencies may upload only their own records. Don’t send health or life insurance data; Relay rejects those lines.

2.No credential scraping

Don’t use Relay with agency usernames and passwords to scrape carrier portals, or ask agencies to give you their carrier credentials.

3.Don't attack the network

  • No attempts to access another organization’s data, including by guessing IDs.
  • No load testing against live endpoints without our written agreement. Use the sandbox.
  • No malware, or files crafted to exploit parsers.
  • No circumventing rate limits, verification or approval rules.

4.Don't mislead agencies

Partners must describe accurately what data they request and why, and must stop using an install as soon as it’s revoked.

5.Reporting

Report abuse to security@emeraldrelay.com. We may suspend access that puts the network or its data at risk.
